How I'm Healing my Back / Neck Injury

It’s not a one and done process by any means. And every single person is different. And that changes daily, with the seasons, etc.

I believe our health / taking care of our bodies is one of the most important things we can do. Or how can we show up for others and serve in this life?

My goal is always to feel my best so I can show up as my best. Forever work. With a lot of love and ease and grace. Loving ourselves in all the waves we’ll ride along the way. Our bodies are amazing. Serious blessings. And they hold so much healing capacity.


Good sleep (which is hard when your body is in extreme pain) is essential to feeling our best and supporting our bodies for prime healing state. If we’re not getting enough good sleep everything starts to fall apart. The past several months I’ve been loving my new water pillow from one of my chiropractors  🛌

Of course injuries can add more stress, but finding ways to surrender into it as much as possible… ask for help A LOT… breathe… meditate. Calm the nervous system 🙏


Keeping our tissues, joints, and muscles well hydrated helps to relieve pain by keeping things nice and fluid.


A well balanced, plant centric, low inflammatory diet is such an easy and delicious place to start to keep the body happy and healing. I love adding green juice, aloe, and turmeric whenever I’m feeling the funk. 💆‍♀️ ALT HEALING MODALITIES (such as chiropractic, acupuncture, massage)

Physical and energetic healing sessions help move through the pain so much faster and all work on different levels. I find a combination helps best when possible. Sometimes they add in electric stim, cupping, etc.


If I could only have one oily product right now, my best friend is doTERRA deep blue stick. It’s like icy hot without all the petrochemicals. Plus healing plants that actually help the body heal. It feels SO GOOD.

Then I’d add Frankincense, Copaiba, Turmeric, Aromatouch… and other supplements like doTERRA Deep Blue Polyphenols, Arnica capsules, and of course ibuprofen as needed.


Best. Investment. Ever.

I’m on this thing so many nights of the year, especially in the winter near my woodstove. It’s one of the only places I feel the least pain these days.

Far Infrared Rays are invisible waves of energy that have the ability to penetrate all layers of the human physical body, penetrating into the inner-most regions of the tissues, muscles and bone.

Sitting in front of a fire or laying on a nice warm rock on a perfectly sunny day is an example of receiving far infrared radiant heat from a naturally occurring source. But the biomat is filled with 1,000 tiny amethyst crystals to amplify the healing process!!


Pure epsom salt is used to relax muscles and relieve pain due to its high magnesium content. I get plain epsom salts and add my own oils (plus sometimes cbd, herbs, clays, etc) to avoid any synthetic fragrances.

I add 1-2 cups of epsom salts to my bath for optimal magnesium levels. Since our skin is the largest organ of the body, magnesium soaks in so well and absorbs in. So many of us are magnesium deficient. Finding ways to increase and properly absorb magnesium is extremely beneficial for pain relief, better sleep, and so much more.


For now I’m sticking with very gentle movement and stretching to support my healing process. Not lifting much of anything. And being very careful with my movements, but not staying completely stationary. Keeping things flowing.

Once I’m in a slightly better place I’ll definitely be adding a healthy focus on increasing strength & core training 💪
